Lights, Camera, Action

Today I found out about behavioral activation. It is used in therapy to alleviate depression. It consists in doing the things you once enjoyed in order to improve your mood. I think I learned about it after taking part in online CBT. This sort of therapy recommended doing things that you wanted to do, fun activities and things you had to do like chores. Come to think of it that's what I've been doing during these past months. Trying to make something I can be proud of and reconnect with an old flame, that of reading. It takes curiosity and perseverance and some creativity on my part to be writing this blog but I'm doing it gladly. What can I say? I like to show off with my mini personal projects and if that makes me a happier, productive person it's all for the best. I just hope this journey of self-improvement and self-healing I am on going my way will prove beneficial somehow.
