Another book that I read this week was Pre-suasion. Although I expected something very technical coupled with Cialdini's knowledge on the topic of persuation and influence I got a long ramble on the topic of so-called pre-suasion, meaning what comes before persuasion. It's almost 400 pages of arguing round the subject. But, hey, I found out that in marketing there are two kinds of strategies for selling a product: the one that says everyone is like everyone else asking the consumer to blend in with the crowd and the one that argues that everyone is unique asking the consumer to differenciate themselves. That's all I got from the book. Maybe I did not pay enough attention to it. In the end I gave it three stars on Goodreads and decided to read some of the books mentioned in it.
