Take 49

Another book that I read this week was The Finnish Way. It is a book about sisu, a special type of courage and resilience typical to the Finns. The author mentions some of the activities that require it such as winter cold water dipping, cycling in cold weather, strolling through the woods to keep connected to nature or raising kids that are happy and resilient. It is a book about the Nordic way of life, more introverted and melancholic but filled with beauty. Although I expected to read about actually finding such type of courage I enjoyed the story that the author depicted. Three stars on Goodreads for a rather deceptive title.
