Another book that I read this week was The Courage to Be Happy. I have also read The Courage to be Disliked and I enjoyed it more than this one. I found the ideas in this book, Adler's ideas that is, to be out of touch with reality. When it comes to competition and children learning that all people are their enemies through it I agree, but I highly doubt the fact that the educational system in Romania will be built on cooperation during years to come. As a result we have to compete to earn our living. When it comes to love I do not believe in a love that is unconditional, meaning threre are cases of persons who love and do not receive love in return but abuse. Should these persons continue to love the object of their desire? I think not. I agree to the fact that we do not exist to please others but the human desire to be accepted as a way of surviving can be really hard to change. All in all, two stars on Goodreads and the feeling of having conquered another mole hole achieved.
